That really is a sad message. Bill's bid to get protection for transsexuals and transgender persons has not gone through the third reading in the House of Commons. It is the second time he tried to get this legislation through the House. The first one didn't even get to the first reading.

Hopefully his decision to tell the world at this time won't change the minds of MP's that have so far supported this bill. And maybe we'll be lucky and not have an election until after the third reading, whenever that is.

Hi Wally. I had a news Item that said the bill was passed. do you have a link to something contrary.

I like accuracy and would be grateful for anything you can give me.

Gina,

I'm not too sure about the actual link to a newspaper article but this might help you get started. I pulled it from a TESA report.

BILL C-389 (FEDERAL)
Bill C-389 has passed the report stage. Third reading will be in the
new year. More information-- including links to the Bill itself and
web forms for contacting your MP--is available at
http://dentedbluemercedes. wordpress.com/2010/12/06/c- 389-i-have-an-agenda/

I'll keep looking for something better. Btw, I get most of my news regarding political issues from Mercedes.
