That really is a sad message. Bill's bid to get protection for transsexuals and transgender persons has not gone through the third reading in the House of Commons. It is the second time he tried to get this legislation through the House. The first one didn't even get to the first reading.

Hopefully his decision to tell the world at this time won't change the minds of MP's that have so far supported this bill. And maybe we'll be lucky and not have an election until after the third reading, whenever that is.
